In the early days of Nepenthe, peacocks used to wander the grounds and would frequently take up residence on the restaurant's front roof. While our peacocks are no longer around  they are remembered in this exquisite vintage sterling silver Mexican pin. (Many historians believe that the peacock was the original inspiration for our Nepenthe's mascot, the Phoenix Bird.) The detail work on this pin is quite masterful.
