Books & Music
As buyer for the Phoenix Shop, I buy
books, music, DVD's and magazines that I hope
intrigue the diverse people who visit our store.
We have a large selection of local
interest books, books on the history of our area, as
well as many books written by local authors and CD's
by local musicians.
Included also are a large selection
of art and architecture titles. as well as fiction,
poetry, metaphysical, and religious. Many chefs
grace our peninsula, and their books with recipes
from their restaurants are stocked in our shop.
Bestsellers, children's books, and a
very interesting sale book selection make it a place
to find the unexpected. We can special order any
book that is in print.
We also have DVD's and Videos on a
wide variety of topics, including, of course, local
subjects. The music department is not only stocked
with current music, but we include a vide variety of
World Music, meditation CD's, and Classical
selections.
The book department is proud to
feature an on-going art gallery. We show artists
from around the area, in various media an styles.
So, I invite you to get lost among the books and
arts. I think that you just might be surprised by
the unexpected titles that you will find. Plop
yourself down on a reading chair and get to know a
new author, or find the classic that you were
supposed to read in High School, but never got
around to. Tell me about a good book that you have
read, or a CD that I just have to hear and you think
others would enjoy. And foremost, I hope you have
