Group Reservations At Nepenthe - (up to 40 at lunch, 25 at dinner)

Nepenthe Restaurant serves groups of up to 40 at lunch and 25 at dinner in the indoor dining room and outdoor terrace.

Private Parties and Weddings on our outdoor deck (up to 85 people)

The Cafe Kevah is available for rent for private parties up to 85 people for weddings and special events. See below for more information about "Private Events and Weddings" page to find out about our availalbility and policies.

Special Menus -

We offer full service, sit-down dinner, and banquet menus . Please feel free to discuss other ideas or special requests with our Special Events Coordinator.

Wedding Cakes and Special Desserts -

Nepenthe can provide a home baked wedding cake or other specialty desserts prepared specifically for your party.

Full Bar Service -

Full bar service is available at the Café Kevah with prior arrangement.

Wine Service -

Nepenthe offers a full wine list, please plan to make your selection at least two weeks before your event to insure that an ample supply will be on hand for your party.

Special groups may not bring their own wine or other alcoholic beverages for service at Nepenthe or the Café Kevah.

China And Linen -

Table service at the Café Kevah includes Nepenthe's own white china plates, flatware, and napkins. A wide variety of tableware is available for rental.

Parking and Transportation -

Parking may be limited at Nepenthe, depending on the time and date of your event. Parties of 40 or more are required to use bus or shuttle services to bring guests to and from the event. Consult with the Special Events Director to determine the need for shuttles or other special parking and transportation arrangements as needed. We can assist with all your transportation needs; including limousine service, shuttle and/or bus service for your guests from the Monterey Peninsula

and ground transportation from the airports.

Photographers -

Nepenthe works with and recommends various local photographers. We will be happy to bring you together with a professional who is familiar with our property.

Flowers and Centerpieces -

We can offer you a wide variety of flowers, centerpieces and other floral decorations, with at least one week notice. Please discuss your interests with our Special Events Director at your first opportunity.

Entertainment -

Consult with the Luis Potter, Restaurant Manager for live entertainment options.

Printed Menus -

A simple printed menu is included with your event. If you need engraving, place cards or other specially printed items, these can be prepared with advance notice.

Site Fee -

Charges for all private events at the Café Kevah include a $4000 site fee.

Other expenses -

Other expenses include, but are not limited to Food, Beverages, Service Charges, Linen, China and Flatware Rental, Minister Fees, Photographer, Decoration, Printing Fees and all applicable sales tax.

Service Charge -

A service charge of 20% will be assessed on your total event expenses pre-tax, and will be included with your final bill.

Tax -

Prevailing California State Sales Tax (currently 7.25%) will be added to your bill for all items subject to Sales Tax.

Payment Information -

Deposit: 

Private Events on the Café Kevah deck are reserved with a $500 deposit and the return of the following completed and signed Special Event Registration Agreement. This deposit is only refundable with written cancellation at least thirty days prior to your event.

Final payment: 

All expenses beyond the total estimate must be paid before the party leaves Nepenthe on the day of your event.
Payments can be made by Visa, Master Card, American Express or Cash.

Group Reservations At Nepenthe -

Nepenthe takes reservations for groups between five and 45 in size at lunch, and up to 25 for dinner. For your convenience, we can offer an open menu, or a limited menu prepared specially for your group.
